The Universal Resonance Model proposes a conceptual grammar to operationalize biological movement over time.
Why the study?
Following the concept that theory must precede pattern detection, this paper explores what candidate variables might describe disease as dynamic change over time.
This conceptual note proposes a set of theoretical parameters for the Universal Resonance Model to describe disease as dynamic change over time, providing a framework for future empirical testing.
Hypothesis-generating framework for dynamic disease tracking; leaves open empirical validation before any clinical adoption.
This conceptual note develops the next step in the Biological Rubin Observatory framework by proposing how the Universal Resonance Model (URM) could begin to operationalize biological movement over time. Where the first Biological Rubin paper argued that theory must precede pattern detection, this paper asks what candidate variables might describe disease as dynamic change. It introduces several provisional URM parameters: λ₁ as dominant system stability or instability; σ² as biological variance or fluctuation; ρ(τ) as delayed correlation or system memory; Δτ as temporal displacement between signals; κ as coupling strength between biological subsystems; RI as a composite resonance or risk-instability index; PRC as the rate of change of RI; and RWP as reset window potential. The paper emphasizes that these parameters are conceptual and not yet validated clinical measures. Their purpose is to provide a possible grammar for organizing longitudinal biological observations into dynamic signatures, such as stability, drift, amplification, compensation, reset-window states, recovery, and pathological locking. This work is intended as a conceptual note and preprint within the URM / Dynamic Medicine Series. It does not present prospective clinical data or a finished mathematical model, but proposes a parameter language for future theory-guided observation, hypothesis generation, and empirical testing.
