This research presents an innovative design for a wheelchair for individuals with disabilities, utilizing an Arduino UNO board and image processing algorithms applied to hand motion captured via a camera. The aim is to enable users to control and navigate the wheelchair independently using only hand gestures, thereby improving their quality of life. The system is based on: An Arduino UNO board as the main controller, programmed using the Arduino Software (IDE).A camera to capture hand movements, analyzed using artificial intelligence algorithms to make automatic navigation decisions.A set of motors controlled via an H-Bridge circuit to ensure precise movement control. The H-Bridge to manage the motors, allowing smooth maneuverability of the wheelchair, combined with AI algorithms for interpreting hand gestures and executing directional commands automatically. The results demonstrated improved control accuracy compared to conventional systems.
