L-NAME does not preferentially increase renal over systemic vascular resistance at low doses in healthy men; extends evidence on nitric oxide inhibition thresholds for vasoconstriction versus natriuresis.
Does intravenous L-NAME alter renal and systemic hemodynamics and sodium excretion in healthy men?
In healthy men, the renal circulation is not more sensitive to nitric oxide synthesis inhibition than the systemic circulation, and the threshold for antinatriuresis is higher than for renal vasoconstriction.
