LV diastolic parameters may aid risk stratification in PH-HFpEF despite limitations; leaves open need for prospective validation before clinical use.
Does left ventricular diastolic dysfunction profile by echocardiography predict long-term survival in patients with PH-HFpEF?
In patients with PH-HFpEF, LV diastolic dysfunction profile by conventional echocardiography is highly variable and does not independently predict long-term survival, whereas RV dysfunction and higher RV systolic pressure are associated with worse survival.
