Theoretical analysis reveals hierarchical quantum processing scaling laws across terrestrial organisms, suggesting physical mechanisms linking cellular spin networks to consciousness.
Across all terrestrial life, ATP synthase, phosphate metabolism, and Posner molecule clusters (Ca9(PO4)6) are remarkably conserved. In this paper, we formalize this universal biological infrastructure as the “standard hardware of biological quantum processing units (QPUs)” and establish the scaling laws governing intracellular computing from unicellular organisms (LUCA) to advanced neural systems (the brain). We demonstrate how 31P nuclear spin memory (RAM) within Posner clusters and cryptochrome (CRY) radical-pair operators (QPUs) expand their collective Hilbert space through intercellular spin coupling (QPC) and microtubule networks, revealing the physical necessity underlying the evolutionary transition from localized metabolic optimization to unified cognitive consciousness.
