Theoretical study uncovers quantum computational drivers of 270 somatic cell types, suggesting quantum coherence retention dictates cell differentiation and evolutionary scaling.
Grounding our analysis in the In Vivo Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) framework, this paper formalizes the physical and informational mechanisms underlying the differentiation of all 270 somatic cell types, the determinants of cellular lifespans and renewal cycles, and the evolutionary transition from LUCA to eukaryotes via mitochondrial endosymbiosis. In contrast to classical evolutionary biology and physiology—which posit that cellular morphology and longevity are primary and thus define functional capabilities—we propose a “QPU-Function-First” paradigm. In this model, the operational tasks demanded of local QPUs and the imperatives of quantum coherence retention reverse-engineer both cell lineage specification (270 distinct types) and turnover periodicity. Furthermore, collective phase synchronization in iPS-derived cardiomyocytes (Level 2 QPU arrays) and cellular memory transfer in heart transplantation are formulated as write-back and read-out processes within a “primordial tripartite program architecture,” positioning mitochondrial symbiogenesis as the evolutionary acquisition of ambient quantum shielding and micro-clock oscillation.
