Can a new ELISA assay for prothrombin fragment F1+2 reliably measure coagulation activation processes and monitor anticoagulant therapy?
The new ELISA assay for prothrombin fragment F1+2 is a reliable tool for identifying coagulation activation and monitoring the effects of anticoagulant therapy.
Bruhn et al. (1992) conducted an observational in Healthy subjects and patients with leukemia, liver disease, myocardial infarction, or on anticoagulants (n=133). ELISA for prothrombin fragment F1+2 determination was evaluated on Prothrombin fragment F1+2 concentration. A new ELISA for prothrombin fragment F1+2 established a reference range of 0.37-1.11 nM/l and detected significant changes in patients with leukemia, liver disease, MI, and on anticoagulants.
