Theoretical analysis explores reputational factors influencing socio-economic development in regions, suggesting insights for governance.
The article presents an analysis of the role of reputational factors in the system of socio-economic development of regions. The author examines the evolution of the regional development concept — from the traditional focus on quantitative economic indicators to a modern multidimensional model integrating social, environmental, cultu ral, and other components. Using a systemic approach, the study develops a concept of bilateral interaction between reputational factors and regional development processes, where reputation acts simultaneously as a catalyst for growth and a result of successful regional strategies. Special attention is given to substantiating the key role of territorial branding as a manageable tool for shaping a region’s reputation. The research findings are valuable for regional governance bodies and specialists in spatial development.
