With large budget support in the health sector, Indonesia has made significant progress in realizing Universal Health Coverage (UHC).However, there are weaknesses in the quality of service with regard to technology and information support, especially in lowermiddle-class hospitals. This study aims to examine the role of digital technology on hospital performance from a service perspective. This study was compiled using a systematic literature review method, and conducting bibliometric analysis on several selected papers, it was seen that there was a link between hospital performance and the adoption of digital technology in the aspect of care services to patients. Therefore, this study proposes a new conceptual model consisting of six constructs: digital adoption capability, hospital performance, digital leadership, ICT literacy, patient-centric, and environmental dynamism to improve hospital performance. This model is very important for hospital organizational management and has contributed to providing insight into increasing the role of digital technology to connect health workers and patients to produce safe and quality health services. This study is one of the first to examine the adoption of digital technology in the aspect of service in lower middle-class hospitals and lays the foundation for academics for the scope of their future research.
