Early RA-RV shocks lower ADFT in sheep AF model but RA-CS does not; hypothesis-generating for timing and lead configuration in humans.
Do early timed internal atrial defibrillation shocks reduce the atrial defibrillation threshold in an animal model of atrial fibrillation?
In a sheep model, unlike ventricular defibrillation, atrial defibrillation thresholds do not decrease significantly very early after AF initiation with an RA-CS configuration, though early shocks with an RA-RV configuration lower the threshold.
