Challenges kinin mediation of ACEI hypotension in mice; leaves open mechanisms and human translation.
Endogenous kinins do not appear to mediate the hypotensive response to ACE inhibition in mice, and the exaggerated response in bradykinin B2 receptor knockout mice may be due to unbalanced vasoconstrictor action of the renin-angiotensin system.
